Basketball and Variety Show

Hello all!
We have a few optional opportunities for the girls and I'm trying to figure out general interest levels. Please read carefully and fill out the survey, even if the answer is no! I need everyone to complete the survey by January 2nd so I can plan accordingly!

The Jr. Pirate basketball program has asked us to cheer for their teams. They have about 10 boys and girls teams between grade levels. This is new to our program so I'm thinking about starting light this year. We will not be attending all games as we need to figure out coaches, gym space, and interest levels. I am waiting for the schedule/times to be sent to us but there are a few games at Chaifetz Arena at the end of January on Saturdays that could be a good starting point for us. As of right now, I'm thinking we could combine our teams, depending on the number of kids interested, and pick one or a few teams to cheer for. We would cheer during the game on the sideline and perform a half time. We would practice either Monday and/or Wednesday from 6-7pm to prepare for the games. I think we would practice Monday and Wednesday the 2 weeks leading up to the games but may just do 1 day a week. Again this is all sudden and new so I'm still working on logistics. There is a lot up in the air between me being due April 2, other coaches schedules, the gym availability, and the number of kids that are interested.

March 26th and 27th we can perform in the high school variety show. This is a show held by the high school dance program to showcase all their routines as well as different district (and some outside) programs. The show starts at 7pm. Everyone fill out the survey so we know how many want to participate but it is possible we will just combine 7th and 8th grade to perform at this show since I am due the week after the show. I think we will practice once a week, either Monday OR Wednesday, from 6-7pm starting in February (not sure specifically which day). I'm also not sure if we will perform both nights or just 1 night for the show.
